Paul Rufe – I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 1, 1955 and lived there till my family relocated to Huntsville,  Alabama in 1967 with my father’s job transfer to Redstone Arsenal. After two years at Mt. Gap Middle School, I attended Grissom High School in 1969 and upon graduation, entered the Memphis Academy of Arts (now Memphis Art College) in Memphis Tennessee in 1973. There I majored in Graphic Art, and Illustration. I also minored in Photography, Painting, and Sculpture. After recieving my Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Design, I returned to Huntsville where I worked at an ad agency until moving to Dallas, Texas in 1980. For the eleven years I resided there, I worked for several art studios, ad agencies, and in house ad agencies in a full time capacity or on a freelance basis. I returned to Huntsville in 1991 when Catalina Lighting closed the Texas corporate office and consolidated to Miami. I have been residing at my present address since then.
